About this platform
EU Economy Observatory is an independent analytics tool that visualises key macroeconomic indicators for European countries — GDP, inflation, unemployment, government debt, and more — on an interactive map, in country comparisons, and in per-country profiles.
Where the data comes from
All figures are sourced directly from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, via its public REST API. Each indicator maps to a specific Eurostat dataset; values are fetched, stored, and displayed without alteration. Figures are official statistics and may be revised by Eurostat over time, so a value shown here reflects the most recent data retrieved from the source.
Licensing & reuse
Eurostat data is made freely available under the European Commission's reuse policy (Commission Decision 2011/833/EU), which permits reuse for commercial and non-commercial purposes provided the source is acknowledged. The source is attributed as © European Union, 1995–2026, source: Eurostat.
